We can also offer professional advice on a number of local East Midlands fisheries, having intimate knowledge of diverse venues such as the River Trent (which is now recognised as one of the leading big fish rivers for barbel, chub and carp) the Grantham Canal, Nottingham Beeston Canal, Erewash Canal, Holme Pierrepont, Belvoir Lakes and many commercial carp waters in the Notts, Leics, Lincs area such as BWB Makins, Lakeview and Daiwa Hallcroft.

Established in 1986, Matchman Supplies Angling Centre is run by proprietor Tim Aplin a former Daiwa Masters and Swan Vestas champion, who has competed at the top level, fishing many open matches in the UK as well as competitions in Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Ireland.

As well as stocking angling equipment from Daiwa, Drennan, Preston Innovations, Fox and Shimano, we also have a range of waterproof and fleece clothing, thermal boots and waders.

We distribute yearbooks and day tickets for Notts A.A, Belvoir Lakes, Barnstone Gravel Pits and Bottesford A.A.

We also keep a large range of fresh bait in stock including maggots, casters, pinkies, squatts, hempseed and worms (bulk amounts available). From October we can obtain good quality bloodworm and joker to order.

Pellets, groundbait and additives from Dynamite Baits, Sensas, Van Den Eynde, Cats and Dogs and P.A. Megabaits are also available.

Frozen pike deadbaits such as mackerel, smelt, herring, trout, lamprey, sprats, sardines and coarse baits such as roach and skimmers are stocked.

We also have a good range of boilies and pop ups from Dynamite Baits, Mainline, Richworth and Nutrabaits.

We can provide insurance quotes for replacing stolen tackle.

Repairs and servicing to rods and reels, such as new eyes for rods and new springs for reels etc, can also be arranged.
